Two Chicken Strips and a few kind words

Southbound and heading home after taking 42 dogs to our rescue partner All Aboard Animal Rescue we made our last stop for coffee in the middle of Oklahoma. Flying J’s or Love’s…. Love’s it is!

Then what to our wondering eyes should appear than a little black dog running between all the big 18-wheelers! Two chicken strips and a few kind words later “Trucker” was in our volunteer's lap.

Trucker had been left at the truck stop for days it appeared because he was filthy dirty and covered in fleas. What a lucky day for Trucker to cross paths with RT4P. He has since been vaccinated and neutered but unfortunately he is Heartworm positive. Trucker will be treated for heartworms soon and once his treatment is complete he will be available for adoption. Trucker is an absolute sweetheart who is good with other dogs, cats, and kids.
