WHAT WE DO
We rescue dogs and cats from shelters in Texas and bring them to foster homes where they live until they are adopted locally in the DFW metroplex or transported to our rescue partners in Colorado.
In addition to local adoptions, we are happy to partner with animal rescue groups in Colorado who share a commitment to finding forever homes for unwanted dogs and cats. Animals that may wait for months in Texas, or never make it out of the shelter at all, are adopted by loving families within a week, or sometimes days, in Colorado. We thought "If there are too many homeless animals in Texas and not enough homes, why not find a place with families waiting to adopt their new furry family member." After all, a forever home is just a road trip away.
Please note that our transports are limited only to partner animal rescue groups. At this time, we are unable to transport to individual adopters or other states.
HOW WE DO IT
We start by identifying animals that would be good for our program. Once the animal is rescued, they stay in one of our foster homes until ready to be adopted locally or transported to our rescue partners in Colorado. Before transport, all animals receive a health certificate and are fully vetted (spayed/neutered, wormed, vaccinated and given a health check). For local adoptions, all animals are vaccinated, given a health check, wormed, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered if age appropriate.
When adopting puppies and kittens not old enough for spay/neuter surgery, adopters must agree to bring the pet back to our veterinarians for surgery when age appropriate. NO EXCEPTIONS.
